Quick Weight Loss is Possible

Quick weight loss is possible, but it should be approached safely, carefully, and on only a short term basis. Trying to lose weight too fast by restricting calories drastically, will only defeat the body's ability to lose weight in the long run because starvation only leads to self defense. The body will reduce its metabolic rate and reset at that lower level so that when food is again increased, it goes to storage and increases weight.

If you upset the body's natural balance, you will not win. The body and mind will ultimately work towards survival, and if that means retaining fat, you will not be able to lose weight. The better plan is to use any quick weight loss plan on a very short term basis, like a day at a time, and certainly not longer than a few days. Alternate the strict diet with some normal calorie intake days, and lose weight a little faster than if you did everyday at a controlled caloric intake.

Another way to increase weight loss is to add some more exercise, and specifically to use interval training to burn fat faster. The exercise will increase muscle, which will in turn allow you to have a higher metabolism. Watching your calorie intake and keeping it between 1200 and 1800 calories a day for an adult will have a slow movement towards lower weight.

There is no way around it; calories and exercise work together best for weight control, but balance is equally important. If you do no exercise and just reduce calories to too low a level, your body will lower metabolism and slow weight loss. If you do too much exercise and do not have adequate nutrition, your body will suffer, and you will not be able to continue your routine. Balance eating and exercise and use interval training exercise for the best results.

Quick weight loss is possible, but not advisable. A lifetime plan with balance as the main ingredient is a far better way to control your weight and keep your body healthy and functioning properly for a long time.
